Toronto’s goal is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 80% by 2050. Toronto’s leadership on the environment was showcased in the “Future Cities” Pavilion at the Summit, along with nine other leading cities of the world. Toronto’s 3-minute video, produced by ARC Institute, showcased our many innovative environmental solutions. “….While the national government of Canada is being justly criticized for its lack of action on climate change… in their personal lives and through their city and some provincial governments, Canadians are tackling climate change head on.” Mayor David Miller
